A look at 5 meter driver distance.

It should be obvious by now that testing in room is a challenge.  In an attempt to be as complete as possible I expanded on some 5 meter measurements.  The plot below shows what I observed by going from the sitting-down-in-my-couch position to "standing up."  In the standing up situation there was more details audible in the high because of less "masking" in the mids.  Given enough time I'll expand on this situation by throwing the couch out and doing a retake in this position.

The "no echoes" in above plot legends allude to the fact that I opened the front door, effectively preventing the backwave from scattering back into the listening space.  The distance driver/frontdoor is 6 feet.

The graphs below are a variation on the standing up/sitting down theme.  I'm doing also some phase plots as preparation on the integration of a woofer with the various ribbon drivers.
